EXPERIENCED MANAGEMENT - THE WHOLE DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS for "EDUTAINMENT "APPLICATION
We offer Clients over 25 years of Specialist EDUTAINMENT based Expertise, providing the combined services of Design & Design Management where required, or purely experienced Design Management of Concepts, Design works and Implementation proposals produced by other Designers/Consultants.
When offering purely the Design Management service we are increasingly commissioned by Clients to act as their Design/Design Management representative within the Project Design Team for the integration and implementation of the specialist Edutainment fit-out elements within the overall project:
     •  responsible for managing the all-important project design process as it applies to the Edutainment elements,
     •  to manage the performance and efficiency of those within the design team re. integration of Edutainment works
     •  to ensure efficiency of the Edutainment elements design processes performed by others re. practicality, value for
money spent, design fit for purpose and quality of the final fit-out result.

WHY UTILISE THE SERVICES OF A DESIGN MANAGER FOR EDUTAINMENT ELEMENTS IMPLEMENTATION?
Concept development, design and implementation of Edutainment concepts and designs involves numerous processes,
disciplines and specialist expertise not generally familiar to Clients and Consultants within the standard architectural, construction and fit-out sectors. Such specialist expertise are important when:
   •  The Client/Project Manager can not commit sufficient time to the management of the important design processes of
unfamiliar specialist Edutainment elements and disciplines.
   •  The Client/Project Manager required impartial and independent Edutainment design and implementation expertise
       they do not possess.
Our role is generally to manage (on the Client’s behalf), all of the Edutainment elements' design and
exhibition/attraction fit-out services provided by others (or my own);  to primarily advise, make recommendations, review
and design-vet works of the project design team and specialist contractors/supplier; , co-ordinate the vital flow of
information, to report on and manage:
       a)  the co-ordination, performance and management of the Client team design consultants, specialist designers,
contractors and suppliers works in relation to/for the Edutainment elements
       b)  establishment of roles and responsibilities for all parties involved in the production and incorporation of Edutainment
             elements into the overall project
       c)  development of Edutainment elements' design concepts into detail design and construction/production
drawings and information for tender package production, tendering and appointment of specialist contractors and
             suppliers
       d)  supervision of detail design drawings; production, of information, specifications and schedules as and when required
             for the project
       e)  involvement in the production and management of Edutainment elements design, fit-out related budgets and
project programmes with the appointed Project Manager
        f)  development of procedures and systems for efficient flow of information between all parties involved in the design &
implementation processes for the Edutainment elements
       g)  evaluation of appropriateness of design and construction fit-out proposals for required quality and "fit-for-purpose"
       h)  design related meetings, produce client project reporting procedures, undertake extensive project progress & value
             for money spent evaluations
        i)   ensure the base-build is sympathetic with the Edutainment design and implementation proposals
       j)    ensure operational and client related issues and requirements are known and implemented efficiently by the Design
             and Contractor Team
        k)  development of procedures for and assistance in project completion and set up, hand-over and operation, Defects
Liability responsibilities and supervision, Final Accounts assistance, final Project Report to the Client

Increasingly, design consultants and contractors require Clients to approve and sign off Concept Development stages, Design Development material; Design Details and Specifications, Materials and Finishes, Lighting Schedules, Audiovisual and Multi-media development material; Interpretation, Graphics and Scripts; designs and details for Interactives etc.  We increasingly undertake such responsibilities on the Client's behalf if they, or appropriate members of the Design Team, do not possess the time, confidence of expertise to undertake such important Works Stages and Payments Valuations Approvals.

IF YOU HAVE DOUBTS OR CONCERNS ABOUT ANY OF THE ABOVE  OR YOU/ YOUR TEAM MEMBERS DO NOT POSSESS THE SPECIALIST EDUTAINMENT BASED EXPERIENCE OR EXPERTISE NOTED ABOVE, THEN YOU CERTAINLY DO NEED THE SERVICES OF AN EXPERIENCED DESIGN MANAGER

DESIGN MANAGEMENT PROCESSES
The Design Management processes that can and should be applied to a complex Edutainment project require implementation and management by an experienced Edutainment Design Manager.  There are generally a multitude of specialist consultants contractors/designers/suppliers all producing their own specialist contribution within an overall complex attraction entity, with such specialist works needing to be appropriately meshed together and integrated into a new or existing building envelope and services.
The Design Management processes and procedures we apply to Edutainment projects are tailored to the requirements of each individual project and, acting as the Client’s representative and a member of the Project Design Team,  generally includes:
  • Assistance in selection and appointment of the Edutainment team
  • Definition of individual roles and responsibilities
  • Close liaison with the Client, Project Manager, Q.S. etc.
  • Management of the Edutainment elements design team and their design & production of information works
  • Production and management of innumerable schedules and works processes procedures
  • Close monitoring of Edutainment team works progress, quality of work, value for money, fit-for-purpose, risk assessments, works valuations etc.
A small selection of procedures  we utilise in the Design Management Process are included in the slide show (1 to 7) below.
Some of the numerous important Design Management process forms not shown include:-
  • Change Order form....identifying and approving changes to approved/contracted works
  • Risk Assessment Sheets...for all relevant areas-elements-processes etc.
  • Work Stage Completion form...Client approval and Edutainer verified approval of completion of works stages
